OUR MISSION • The main priority or Empowerment Media is to battle the evils of the current culture from within…to develop television shows and video resources that look and feel like the culture, but have a vastly different message; one of morality and hope. We endeavor to use these productions as interventions to change behavior and ultimately change the lives of those we touch. Our products will be targeted primarily at young people, BUT secondarily at anyone who is in charge of training young people, such as parents, teachers, and youth leaders THE BATTLE RAGES FOR OUR CHILDREN….ARE YOU WITH US? American youth are bombarded daily with explicit imagery and salacious messages designed to appeal to the darkest recesses of their nature. Drinking, drug abuse, sex-for-favors, and pornography are now portrayed as harmless recreation by the entertainment industry. These messages filter down into popular culture where they influence millions of children and teens who have little awareness of the impact of what they're consuming. As a result, addiction, sexually transmitted disease, pregnancy, violence, depression and suicide are now commonplace among teens and young adults. All of this and more are occurring right under our noses, without a whimper of disapproval from the popular culture and with little or no outrage from parents. Shaking our fists and ranting at the TV for glorifying this darkness has accomplished nothing. IT’S TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
