“About
a year and a half ago I started drinking because it SEEMED
like the right thing to do. All my friends were doing it
and I thought it was the only thing to do that was FUN.
But I didn’t like the fact that I had to lie
to my Mom in order to have simple fun. I came home one night
after going out, fell asleep, woke up and turned on the TV
only to find the show ULTIMATE CHOICE. I felt like it was directed
specifically towards me, telling me to change my ways in order
to achieve my goals in the future. Ever since then, I wait
for the show to come on every Saturday! I still go out on the
weekends, but surprisingly, I don’t do any of the drinking
anymore because I know that’s not what I need to have
fun.” (Jessica Khan)
“I love the show. It encourages
me, and lets me know that I am not on my own in this fight
against the world.” (Chris,
9th grade)
“How wonderful it was for me to happen upon an
episode of Ultimate Choice! I applaud your desire to provide
programming that uses the media, music, and technology necessary
to reach the teens of today, and, at the same time, has the
moral fabric that teaches lessons worth learning (and living).
What a blessing for young people to see programming where their
peers are shown in a pure light, not as illusions of reality
created by Hollywood and the networks.” (Karen, teacher)
“I love the fact that ULTIMATE CHOICE is about
self discovery, and about discovering yourself. The show
helps people figure out how they feel. It empowers them and
anyone who watches. I would love to be a part of something
like that.” Britany, Indiana, 20 years old
“Ultimate
Choice is...wonderfull! Even
my Mom likes it... I think you should make the time longer…about
a hour because it's so great I can't get too much!” Milton
Mowdy
“I
am a 43 year old female. I love Ultimate Choice! The show
airs on a secular station here in Phoenix on Saturday afternoons
and it is so awesome to see these college kids who are
staying pure and living right on a secular station!! I
have been watching for several seasons now and am so pleased
you continue to raise awareness that not all young people are
partying and sleeping around. And the “real” things
that happen between these kids and how they deal with the conflicts
is great too. Thank
you for putting such a “clean” program
on the secular airwaves!”
Geri, Phoenix, AZ
“I just want to say thanks. Ultimate Choice
is one of the shows (one of only a few) on my air that make
me proud of what I do. TV is a big problem and I hope
we can start becoming more of the solution. Your show
is going to be part of a strategy that I believe must be embraced
by broadcasters in every market in America if we are going
to affect change among our youth. So my hat’s off
to you! I’m glad you’re on our air!
Bernie – CW 17, Jacksonville, FL
“I think this show
is AWESOME! It is such an uplifting positive to something like “Real
World Battle of the Sexes”. I can really relate to these
kids on a personal level because they are MY age and they deal
with the same things I deal with on a day to day basis. I would
love to see more of this in the future.” (Logan, 10th grade)
“I absolutely love this show!! My friends and
I can totally relate to everyone on the show and the things
ya’ll talk about. So keep on rocking it!!” (Alisha,
9th grade)
“I LOVE THE SHOW! IT TEACHES THE REALNESS OF
WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON. I'M GLAD THIS SHOW IS ON SHOWING OTHER
TEENAGERS HOW TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT'S GOING ON!” (Morgan,
8th grade)
“I really love this show. I am thirty-four years
old, married with two boys ages 8 & 12. This is such a
great program. The teens are so honest and they hit on such
important choices in life. This is a great educational tool
to go along with other life training to help shape the moral
character of our children and learn some things personally
as well.” (Michele, 34)
“There
is so much stuff going on in school like drugs, sex, and
being accepted. I want to say thank you for ULTIMATE CHOICE
because you all have taught me that doing things just because
everyone else does it is not always the right choice because
it can affect your life forever. I saw the show and it
made me think about why am I living up to other people’s
standards to be accepted. I need to make my own choices and
do what I think is right and that will help me in life to accomplish
my goals. Thank you for showing me this. I wanted you guys
to know this for encouragement for you and to tell you that
the show’s had a big impact on my life.” (Miranda,
17-years old)
I
congratulate and commend you on your efforts. With programming
like this, the possibilities for our children's futures
are endless!!! My daughters in particular are going through
a very difficult time in their lives. They are 12 and 14,
not a good age to learn that your father's love isn't trustworthy
and that no matter what you will NEVER come first. I would
love to see them have an opportunity to see first hand, what
love and friendship really means. I never knew about the show
before today and my daughters have missed it. They will be
watching from this point forward. I appreciate the opportunity
to share with them what "Ultimate Choice" so clearly
expresses. If this is what the programmers intended, you may
tell them they have SUCCEEDED!!!!!!! (Jeanine, Mom)
“I really like the show. I have only seen it
a few times but the way you relate the ultimate and "extreme" stuff
to real stuff in life is awesome. It is so reassuring and cool
to see teens just like me on TV speaking out for what they
believe in. It keeps others interested and on the right path.
(Claire, 11th grade)
“The show is great. I watch all the time. It's
very interesting and informative at the same time. I love that
the characters are themselves on the show and are very down
to earth. They are all truly an inspiration to me and I can
relate to almost everything they say. It's just right for all
teenagers. I love it! Keep up the good work!!”(Denile,
12th grade)
“Being in college now, I feel more pressure then
ever to give in to the things of this world sometimes. I agree
with what the teens said about finding other ways to have fun
than giving into peer pressure. Many blessings to you all and
keep up the good work.” (Erica, college student)
“I just began to watch ultimate choice. I just
wanted to say that this show is great. It is about time young
adults had a show to watch starring their peers. This is probably
the best "reality" TV show out there. The teens really
talk about what every teenager is thinking. I thought it was
great how each person on the show spoke about their fears.
Because now other teens know that they aren't the only ones
going through these things. With shows like this it makes it
easier for us to deal with our lives.” (Erica, 16)
“I love the show. It encourages me, and lets
me know that I am not on my own in this fight against the world...in
my group of peers. My favorite Cast member would have to be
Shannon, because we are so much alike.” (Meg 10th grade)
“I really enjoy this show. It is all about strategy,
but is much more real life than other shows like Fear Factor.
It shows team building skills. I really enjoyed the example
on the show today where the one guy was to stand on the log
and the other guy stood on the ground, and the guy on the ground
ended up pulling the other guy down. It was a good lesson.” (Stephanie,
college student)
“I think this show is really great. It really
deals with things that are going through my mind and other
teenager’s minds. It's also great for people who don't
have anyone they can discuss these issues with and great for
people who do as well.” (Anna, 9th grade)
“The
show shows me about what’s right and
wrong. That it is okay to be different, because that is who
you are. I wish more people at my school would watch this show.
Maybe they would know its okay to be different and be who you
are for you, not for anyone else.” (Brandy, 8th grade)
I
just caught the last half your show on "Bigger & Better" & I
really enjoyed it. I think that the mixture of action, reflection, & application
in the show is so awesome. Keep up the good work!” (Amy,
adult)
“I thought that today’s show really helped
me choose between fear and courage. I love the show and I watch
it every week!!” (Catherine, 8th grade)
“This is such an awesome show for young people!!
I was flipping through the channels when I stumbled onto it
and was immediately drawn to it. I instantly called my boyfriend
so he could watch it too. We have made the decision to wait
until we are married to have sex. Sex is something that is
designed only to be between husband and wife. Waiting will
definitely make that much more special. I really liked the
comment about being worry-free when you have sex only when
you're married because that is so true. Keep up the great work!!” (Breeana,
college Freshman)
“This show has really touched my life. It's been
such a blessing. I can't believe the first season is over!
Good-bye and good blessings to Sean, Courtenay and the whole
gang. I sure will miss you guys.” (Megan, 9th grade)
